Conception Date Calculator
Conception Date Calculator
This online conception calculator allows you to estimate the probable date of conception based on your baby's birth date. This tool is useful for parents, healthcare professionals, or personal record-keeping.
How Does the Calculation Work?
By medical standards, pregnancy lasts 40 weeks from the first day of the last menstrual period (LMP). However, actual conception occurs approximately 2 weeks after this date. Therefore, we subtract 38 weeks (266 days) from the baby's birth date to get the approximate conception date.
Adjustment Parameters
In some cases, you can adjust the calculation by ±1 week to account for individual pregnancy variations or refinements based on ultrasound measurements or medical assessments.
Example Calculation:
If a baby was born on July 1, 2025, the estimated conception date would be approximately October 8, 2024.
